Your EMDR-approved consultant will be Petergay Sterling .
You must complete at least 5 hours to get a memo to EMDRIA documenting your consultation hours.
Consultation is typically offered at different times. Speak with Petergay Sterling before signing your agreement to ensure your schedules correspond. Often, you will be put with one (1) other person seeking certification to broaden your experience. Certification is more intense than introductory training consultation, so be prepared for more in-depth looks at your work in each phase by submitting audio or video recordings. The no-show fee is $50.
You will be expected to come prepared with case summaries and audio or video recordings for the clients you present, along with points of discussion and questions you have about your work. Bring your most complex cases. Please use provided examples of case summaries as guides.
It is helpful but not mandatory to provide your case summaries and audio recordings a minimum of 48 hours in advance. This allows Vianca to be better prepared and you to get the most out of your consultation. If you are technologically challenged, please email Petergay a test audio file before your first consultation to work out any bugs. The best audio file formats are .mp3 and m4a.
Consultations will take place on Doxy, a HIPAA-compliant teleconferencing platform.

After your initial contact, Petergay Sterling will provide the Contract Agreement and Certification Criteria Acknowledgement form. To get started, you must provide your Current Professional License and EMDR Training Document of Completion.
Your first meeting with Petergay Sterling will not be a consultation but rather a review of your documents and goals of becoming an EMDR Certified Therapist. This is to ensure you agree with the expectations and desired outcomes.
