At Evolve Therapy Inc., medication management is approached with care, collaboration, and intention. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I believe that medication can be a helpful tool—but it’s not the only one.
We take a conservative, whole-person approach, considering the many factors that influence your mental health beyond a diagnosis or prescription.
Together, we explore how nutrition, sleep, exercise, connection, and lifestyle impact your brain
chemistry—especially key neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin. For example:
- We discuss how foods and gut health may influence serotonin levels, which are linked to
mood, sleep, and even libido. - We explore how movement and exercise can naturally boost dopamine, supporting
energy, motivation, and emotional balance. - We encourage meaningful relationships and social support to promote oxytocin, the bonding hormone that nurtures emotional resilience.
Education is central to our process. I take time to explain how your body and brain work together—and how medication may support healing while we also focus on sustainable lifestyle changes.
When appropriate, the goal isn’t to be on medication forever. The goal is to help you build a life that feels full, balanced, and purpose-driven—with or without long-term medication.
