Chantel is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Jacksonville University. She is under the supervision of Petergay Sterling, PMHNP-BC, LMHC-QS, EMDR. Before entering her graduate program, Chantel served in the U.S. Navy and has remained committed to supporting others through resilience-building and healing-centered practices. She is passionate about working with individuals navigating trauma, identity development, emotional dysregulation, and intergenerational stress.
Chantel has a deep interest in intergenerational trauma and how trauma affects both the brain and body. Her approach is informed by a growing interest in neuroscience and the mind-body connection in trauma recovery. She is currently expanding her knowledge in modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic-based approaches. Her counseling style is collaborative, grounded, and compassionate, with a focus on honoring the full humanity of each client.
In her free time, Chantel enjoys reading, eating good food, and listening to music.
